Adara Medical Technologies is a full service medical device design and development consulting firm.

We can help build your first working prototype or help take your device all the way through to production. We have the catheter/delivery system design and development experience to produce a device that will meet your design requirements. Our emphasis on design for manufacturability ensures that your device will meet both your performance and production requirements at every stage of the project.  And our quick turnaround means we will meet your timelines.

Yen Liao, our founder/principal has over 15 years of experience in the medical device industry developing catheters and delivery systems for a variety of applications ranging from:

  • Compliant balloon catheter
  • Steerable RF ablation catheter
  • Endovascular Aneurysm Repair (EVAR) delivery system
  • Transcatheter Mitral Valve Repair (TMVR) steerable delivery system
  • Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI) delivery system
  • Transcatheter Mitral Valve Implantation (TMVI) delivery system

Through these past projects, Yen has developed a thorough understanding of catheter design and development. From optimizing braid configurations to balancing flexibility with strength, Yen has been through it all. His experience with a wide range of catheter manufacturing techniques such as polymer reflow, laser cutting/welding, adhesive bonding and braiding/coiling can help you optimize your delivery system to best fit your requirements. Yen also has significant experience with the design and manufacturing of steerable catheters.
